Meet Marquisha Eddington Williams of She Speak Communtiy and Pretty Paid and Productive

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquisha Eddington Williams.

Marquisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly, I didn’t set out thinking I’d be a CEO or run two growing brands. What I did know was that I was tired—tired of seeing women, especially women who look like me, feel like they had to shrink to fit into spaces that were never built with us in mind.

I started She Speaks Community Co. because I needed a space to feel heard—and I knew I wasn’t the only one. It began as a simple idea: create a space where women could come together, learn from each other, grow, and show up fully. And it grew into a powerful community of women who are learning, healing, and building something real.

Pretty Paid & Productive came from that same heart, but with a focus on helping women get their bag and stay in alignment while doing it. It’s not just about money—it’s about feeling worthy, prepared, and confident enough to take up space in business and in life.

This journey hasn’t been perfect. I’ve had to learn a lot through trial and error, and there were times I wanted to give up. But what kept me going was the women watching, the ones depending on this space to exist. And now? I’m walking fully in my purpose—helping women build their businesses, strengthen their voices, and grow in community.

I didn’t get here overnight. I got here by being faithful, consistent, and trusting that what God gave me was worth building.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road—far from it. There have been seasons where I questioned everything: my vision, my worth, my ability to keep going. Starting something from scratch, especially as a Black woman, comes with a unique set of challenges. I’ve faced doubt—not just from others, but sometimes from myself.

There were times when I didn’t have the resources, the connections, or the clarity I needed. I’ve had to learn things the hard way. I’ve launched things that didn’t work, hosted events where barely anyone showed up, and stayed up late wondering if I was really making a difference. And let’s be real—trying to lead others while you’re still healing, growing, and figuring things out yourself? That’s a whole different challenge.

But every struggle taught me something. I learned how to pivot, how to ask for help, and how to trust the process even when I couldn’t see the full picture. What kept me grounded was the “why” behind it all—the women I serve, the community I prayed for, and the impact I know I’m meant to make.

So no, it hasn’t been easy. But it’s been worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about She Speak Communtiy and Pretty Paid and Productive?
At the heart of everything I do is community, purpose, and impact. I’m the founder of She Speaks Community Co., a space created for women to connect, grow, and rise—together. It’s not just an organization, it’s a movement rooted in sisterhood, healing, and empowerment. We host events, workshops, and experiences that pour into women—spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. Whether it’s through intentional conversations or practical resources, we give women what they need to feel seen and supported.

Then there’s Pretty Paid & Productive—my second brand that’s all about helping women build wealth and confidence without losing themselves in the process. I work closely with entrepreneurs and creatives to align their purpose with profit through strategy sessions, digital tools, and business coaching. I believe success should feel good, not overwhelming—and that’s exactly what I help women achieve.

What sets both of these brands apart is the realness. This isn’t surface-level, cookie-cutter coaching. I lead with heart, faith, and a deep understanding of what it means to carry big dreams while juggling real-life struggles. Our community is diverse, faith-driven, and full of women who are done playing small.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the impact—the stories from women who found clarity, confidence, and connection in these spaces. I want people to know: when you come into this community, you’re not just joining a program or attending an event—you’re being seen, poured into, and equipped to grow.

My mission is simple: to help women thrive in life and business, without losing who they are along the way.
