Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian O’Neal.
Hi Brian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I was interested in photography and visual arts at a young age. With traditional film photography phasing out, I switched gears in college for a career in graphic arts and printing. I shadowed and worked for a local Sign Company in Winston-Salem during my college years. After college, I moved out to Raleigh to pursue a career with larger companies within the industry. For 10 years, I worked for a local Sign company. I’ve always been an ambitious worker, usually holding down multiple jobs. At a certain point, I told myself that if I were going to work multiple jobs, they would coexist with each other within the same industry, Thus starting my freelance journey. After a few years of freelancing, my clientele base grew, and I came to the point where I needed to decide. Like most entrepreneurs, this was a transition until I decided to make that giant leap. In 2020, I created my LLC and, by 2022, left my company to start my journey with prolific design concepts. As a creator, I always felt strongly about the products I release. Things began quite slowly, like most people, but my faith and hard work prevailed. Eventually, I got to a point where I knew I would do anything to succeed. I started to hand out cards left and right for local companies looking for contractors for installation work and production help. Soon after, I made numerous connections with local companies within the area and added innumerable clients to my clientele list. Soon after, this wave of work came, and I’ve been riding it ever since.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been relatively smooth so far?
It has only sometimes been. It has been a test of walking in faith on this journey. Sometimes, I took jobs for minimal profit margins to have the hope of making connections from my work. Between employment and slow business times, I would use DoorDash from the afternoon to late at night to ensure I could afford supplies and capital to run my business. One of my most significant services is car wraps. I used this time to advertise my services, shown in my car while making deliveries. Any income I receive is strictly concerned with caring for myself and operating my business. I’ve always naturally been a very hard worker, and I just knew that as long as I stayed focused and kept my faith, I would be OK.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us more about your business.
My company specializes in car wraps, signage, graphic design, and installation services. I am known for my extensive industry knowledge and skill set for quality installation work.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always in an artistic environment, whether surrounded by my mother, a musician, or always having the freedom to express who I am as a person. My sports and hobbies had a dynamic background and were a mixture of hobbies, from skateboarding to BMX racing and speed skating to other activities, such as breakdancing or photography. These activities made up most of my free time.
