Check Out Siler Chapman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Siler Chapman. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Siler Chapman began his college career at UNC Charlotte with his sights on mechanical engineering. After 9/11, he realized he was needed elsewhere. He felt called to work with family and friends while serving his community. He quit school, and with the help of his family, Siler opened Si’s Pizzeria in Fort Mill, SC. He grew Si’s Pizzeria to three locations in North and South Carolina. The pizzerias were full service with 100+ seats, delivery, and take-out. Building a brand from the ground up to what would become a landmark in the community was no easy task. Siler’s determination to always win was a big part of his success. For 12 years, he worked with the young people in the community through his pizzeria and wakeboarding and snowboarding ministry. Siler became well-known in the community for throwing dough locally and nationally. He holds three world titles for acrobatics, gaining his appearances on the Food Network, the Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Steve Harvey Show, and The Today Show, to name a few. Siler is a founding member of the World Pizza Champions and an organizer of the World Pizza Games (held at the International Pizza Expo) since 2005.

Today, Siler owns and operates King of Fire Pizza. He has 7 food trucks that run in the Carolinas. He will open a restaurant in Clover, SC, in the Summer of 2024.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a smooth road for the most part, but there have been some bumps along the way. Staffing has been the biggest struggle. With a mobile restaurant, you must always have a backup of everything.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We run 7 King of Fire pizza trucks. We specialize in American wood-fired pizzas. I also specialize in acrobatic pizza tossing. I’m most proud of this, and it sets me apart from others. As a 3x World Pizza Champion, founding member of the World Pizza Champions and PerfectingPizza.com, and as seen on the Food Network, Today, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Steve Harvey Show, and Good Morning America, if anyone is the King of Fire, it’s Siler Chapman.

What matters most to you? Why?
My family and the art and craft of pizza are the most important because they are the ones who are there for me at the end of each day and push me to be a better person. Pizza has been my life for so many years and has gotten me to many places and experiences worldwide.
