Exploring Life & Business with Aurielle Bryan of Heir Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurielle Bryan.

Aurielle Bryan

Hi, Aurielle; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was introduced to the arts early. What started with ballet and acting quickly transformed into writing, contemporary ballet, and musical theater. Combine this with my parent’s rule of reading every day (and only one hour of TV), and my siblings and I were forced to engage our imaginations. When we don’t watch a lot of TV, we turn to writing our own stories. None of these were terrific, but the base, the kernel of something good, was in those moments of actively engaging our storytelling muscle.

By the time I reached high school, I had a deep love of storytelling — whether it be through the written word, acting performances, or dance recitals. I realized that every art medium could effectively communicate a story and leave the audience feeling awe, community, and inspiration. That desire to authentically connect and engage with others through storytelling — no matter the medium — eventually led me to study filmmaking in college. From filmmaking, I got into the video and branding side of marketing.

Now, I get the opportunity to help my clients shape their brands by focusing on their brand’s story, and I get to do this in various ways. Some clients only need help with the messaging, so I’ll provide a copy. However, in most cases, I’ll be the one to help them better shape their visual identity (from photography to video and everything in between) while assuring that it cohesively fits with their overall trajectory and brand guidelines.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been rewarding. We’re a small, family-owned business, and sometimes, it can be difficult for small businesses to understand the value of properly branding or utilizing a professional video for their branding efforts (on the website, on socials, broadcast, etc.). We’ve found that there are times when we have to explain the value of our services before we ever get in the front door.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Heir Media is a full-service media production company that functions as a full-service film production company, publishing house, game design and development agency, branding agency, music production house, and business development company. In other words, we can do what our client needs to package their brand, idea, and concept into a viable product ready for the market. Our goal is to assist our clients in their never-ending quest to build better, stronger, and more recognizable brands that resonate with their respective audiences, which means taking a more flexible, personalized, and creative approach. As the market continues to change, brands have to be able to stay true to their values, all while adapting to the shifting landscape.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Adaptability and Integrity. If you have these two qualities, you’ll not only have less gray hair, but you’ll also be able to roll with the punches when needed and build trust with your clients and potential clients.
