Meet Elaine Riley of Leland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elaine Riley.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
Although my business didn’t initially start in the energy healing space, I’ve worked with energy healing, crystals, astrology, and holistic modalities for as long as I can remember. It wasn’t until after I became officially Reiki certified that it lit a spark that led me to incorporate those things into my professional life. I was able to heal and align so many things in my life through these practices that I was inspired to help others do the same. My focus has shifted to assisting others to find more balance in their lives and businesses through utilizing practices like Reiki and Astrology.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While I love the business I am in now, it has come with a few challenges. One is the stigma that can often be associated with spiritual practices. To me, working with healing modalities such as crystals, essential oils, and Reiki is a natural part of life. Although it’s usually referred to as alternative healing methods, we initially used these methods to heal people before modern medicine was born. Now, for whatever reason, these things carry a stigma of being taboo or having a negative connotation attached. They are just tools on this Earth to help us heal ourselves in the most natural form.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a certified Astrologer, Crystal Healer, and an Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher. I use a combination of these three modalities to help guide my customers and clients to embody their best selves and highest potential. Although I offer these services separately, my favorite offer is my Grounded Spirit Guide Program. In this program, I use a combination of these methods with my clients. Initially, we will go into an in-depth, deep dive into your birth chart. Then you will receive a pack of 7 crystals to work with that I pick for you based on your birth chart and your energy; after that, we have weekly check-ins where I send you a personalized Astrology and energy update, give you a heads-up on any complex energy I see, or energy that you can make the most of and how to work with it for its best purpose. If you need a little boost, I’ll send you some Reiki or set up a crystal healing grid to help you along. I love being a part of my client’s spiritual journey and watching them grow and achieve the energy goals they are striving for.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
When my husband retired from the military, we settled on Leland as our “forever home.” We knew that we wanted to stay in the Eastern NC area and liked the small-town feel that Leland had to it. It was just far enough outside of Wilmington that we didn’t get the hectic traffic and congested feel, but close enough that if we needed anything, we could hop over there for a morning shopping trip. Unfortunately, that small-town feel is disappearing with the rapid development that is going on in our area. The county we live in is now the fastest growing area in North Carolina, and our town of Leland is unfortunately losing that small town and quaint feel it had.
