Life & Work with JaeOne

Today, we’d like to introduce you to JaeOne.

JaeOne

Hi JaeOne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hey, ya’ll! Growing up, I was always a creative kid. I gravitated more towards art and writing in school. I wrote many poems and short stories and journaled frequently during my free time. With being such a multifaceted person, I dove into many creative projects. I started a YouTube channel while in college! I made makeup/hair videos and vlogs.

YouTube helped me find my voice and showed me I’m a great graphic designer as well. During my senior year of college, I decided I wanted to be a rapper. Funny enough, I always knew I could sing and rap. I was just shy growing up. Once I started going to the studio, I never stopped! Being in front of the mic felt so natural to me. Once I saw the impact my music was made, a light bulb went off in my mind! I would get so many compliments on my voice via YouTube and music, podcasting just made since.

My podcast “Inner Wisdom Podcast”(available only on Apple Podcasts) has been such a blessing in my life. I’ve created a space where I can share my truth and help others at the same time! It has also taught me the importance of being disciplined and consistent.

The newest addition to my ecosystem is “Wellness Wednesday!” I get filled with joy every time I think about it. “Wellness Wednesday” is a community event that is growing tremendously. This is an event where all guests realize how powerful it is to be vulnerable, connect with others, and connect with themselves. It’s so amazing to see all the seeds I’ve been planting starting to grow and flourish!

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
With my creative/artist journey, it has not been a smooth road at all! But that’s the fun part… in my opinion. Two quotes I live by are “Find a way or make one” and “Life begins where fear ends.”

On top of being creative, I am still navigating my 20s as well. I am learning more about myself every single day. Recently, with the roadblocks I’ve experienced, God has definitely shown me how resilient I am. He’s shown me that I’m unstoppable, how important it is to nourish all relationships in my life, and also how important community is.

My faith has kept me from not giving up. Some seasons can be very difficult to navigate through. As long as you stay optimistic and keep your eye on the light at the end of the tunnel, everything will be okay.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a woman of many talents! I am a rapper, podcaster, graphic designer, wellness group founder, painter, model… the list honestly just goes on. I specialize in letting God use me as a vessel. He’s blessed me with being a light in this world.

That’s what I am known for. I’m most proud of myself for being versatile and knowing how and when to pivot! What sets me apart from others is how naturally charismatic I am. I have such a great ability to connect with everyone that I meet while also making them feel very comfortable. I’ve been told numerous times that I have a very inviting and comfortable presence.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I do not believe in luck. I believe in God. While strengthening my relationship with God, I’ve learned to appreciate not only the blessings but the setbacks and disappointments as well.

Roadblocks tend to build my character the most. I have learned so many lessons through failure! I wish people wouldn’t care so much about being seen trying. Everyone has to start from ground zero.
