Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Szewczyk

Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Vibe Alley is a subscription box for tween and teen girls with the mission to provide parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and family a unique way to connect with the young girls in their lives through the art of gifting.
I have three kids and as my daughter was growing up I would buy her small gifts and trinkets and put them on her bed as a surprise when she got home from school. It turned into this fun way of connecting. Talking about where I was that day, the store or places I went and why I thought of her when I was out and about. I noticed that the products then became a point of conversation between us which as she got older helped with staying connected and being able to have conversations about all kinds of things….hard things, funny things, life things, boy things, etc.
Our goal is family and friends can use the art of gifting Vibe Alley boxes to strengthen their connection and build a stronger and fun relationship.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I owned another subscription box with a similar market. My business partner and I parted ways when I relocated to North Carolina, so although Vibe Alley is a new company, the structure and business are very familiar. Obviously starting any new business can be challenging but we are steadily growing!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I am fairly new to Raleigh, we relocated in August of 2024. I love the vibe of the city. Great restaurants and good shopping. I prefer smaller boutiques to large retail stores and I have been able to find some good ones in the area. And it is beautiful here! The lush trees to the architecture! Also love all the colleges in the area b/c I enjoy sports!
