Inspiring Conversations with William Graddy of Woofies of NE Raleigh

Today we’d like to introduce you to William Graddy

Hi William, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My family and I were interested in starting our own company. Being animal oriented, we were looking into viable business ventures that could be successful and found Woofie’s franchise. Being impressed with their attention to the community and business core values. Brittney and I decided that Woofies’s was a perfect fit for us. When it comes to where we are today… that’s to be determined since we just opened, but I will say that the community has made this a wonderful start to our opening!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far it has been smooth, mainly balancing being a father of a 15 month old will being a new small business owner comes with its challenges of balancing office/family time. Being blessed with an amazing groomer, Laura Underhill, has spread the weight of starting the mobile pet spa out. Her knowledge and expertise have been an invaluable asset to our business.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We don’t just service NW Raleigh! Our territory is Raleigh, Durham, Morrisville and the surrounding area and growing. We specialize in both grooming/bathing your dogs to pet walking and sitting, providing a one stop shop for your pet care needs till you need the vet! We separate ourselves because of our humane style of pet care. We are fear free certified and will not force the jobs to get finished even to the detriment of your pets mental health. We want everyone smiling at the end of our service! Woofie’s brand is an amazing company to franchise with, in our agreement it insists on community interaction. Although this is part of our personal plan, it’s wonderful to know that nationwide, Woofie’s will be giving back and participating with local rescues and communities to promote a better world for our furry family members. We spend a wonderful afternoon with APS washing their rescues and after a wonderful bath we watch one of the rescues was adopted!

What matters most to you? Why?
Broad question! To get specific, I want to raise my child in a life surrounded by our animal kingdom and the proper and humane way of interacting with them. From the appropriate way to treat others pets and rules that they have for interactions with them down to proper maintenance of personal animals such as feeding our own dogs and chickens.
