Hi Nancy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Jpopz was started while being home on maternity leave. Not that I didn’t enjoy my newborn but was also looking for a hobby while home for those few months. I knew I wanted to do something that I would enjoy and turn it into a business with my families name attached to it. I pondered on a few ideas but nothing was hitting me with excitement until one day I was watching a video on tik tok from a baker named your sweet connections, you can also find her on YouTube. She was demonstrating different steps on baking techniques whether it was cake pops, candied apples, candied pineapples, chocolate covered strawberries you name it she can do it. I fell in love with the bright colors of her popcorn and BOOM my excitement buzzer started going off. I gathered my ingredients and started experimenting with my own recipes that are now my signature flavors. Jpopz was open for business July 2023 based off of scripture Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being that I was a beginner entrepreneur it was definitely trial and error. But the support of my friends and family who have been in the business market for quite some time guided me with the process. Their contributions and advice helped me along the way

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Jpopz not only has flavored popcorn but we also specialize in any type of events, birthday parties, weddings, special occasions you name it. We share the love of Jesus Christ thru every order and that is something I am proud of. To anyone reading this and wants to start a business but don’t know where to begin here are some encouraging words to follow…
