Hi Tish , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The illustrious Shear Diva brand has been taking the natural hair/ loc industry by storm for only a decade, yet its impact has made it a prominent staple in not only the loc community, the beauty industry as a whole. The eccentric custom designs headlining top hair shows, over 40 national ranking beauty magazine editorials, billboards nationally on both coasts, numerous successful signature product lines in hair/ beauty/ and hair growth industries respectively, we are just getting started.
I am Tish Summers, award winning celebrity master stylist/ CEO/ educator , the powerhouse force behind the Diva Enterprises LLC empire’s numerous successful business entities . Tish is the proud owner of Shear Diva Designz Luxury Loc Gallery in Fayetteville, NC specializing in locs / healthy natural hair care, and hair loss replacement. Her passion for the hair loss industry fueled the creation of the MoGrow Hair Fertilizing System . The system is an all natural growth / follicle stimulation combination of 8 products geared to treating alopecia and simple hair loss due to autoimmune deficiencies, skin/ scalp disorders, genetics, improper diet, medication, and stress.
I am also the proud owner / chef of Diva’s Delights Cordials & Catering, a popular local family operated catering service which features a bevy of delicious dessert and culinary confections, mobile bartending and private chef services. Divas Delights Cordials & Catering is an official sponsor of several non for profit community give backs and organizations.
In addition, I am also the creator of my signature faux loc hair line, ‘ The Latisha Monique Collection’ . As the first African American owned faux loc hair line, I pride my brand on its excellent luxury quality, custom colors, textures and affordability.
As a proud member of the NAACP local area chapter, I am very passionate about community development , philanthropy and combatting homelessness. This year we will be celebrating our 6th year hosting / spearheading the ‘Set Up For Success’ back to school give back . A collaborative effort including several local area barbers, and businesses which we provide free haircuts, braids, retwists, shampoo/ maintenance, school supplies, book bags, and food for the back to school students. In addition, the Shear Diva brand also sponsors several local area schools and nonprofit organizations providing hot meals, and nonperishable items for the homeless and less fortunate community monthly and on holidays.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success has been a difficult yet rewarding journey. Having sustained significant injuries in car wrecks, one of which left me paralyzed from the waist down for over 8 months, I am grateful to be able to continue to pursue my goals and aspirations today. In addition to physical adversities, I am proud to have overcome many of my past shortcomings and brushes with law enforcement when I was younger. I dedicated my efforts and focused my energy to my education, which enabled me to cross barriers and achieve my goals. Consistent dedication, belief in myself , my abilities , and my immense family support system have enabled me to enjoy a better quality of life. I am living proof that your current circumstances does not define your destiny unless you allow it. Have faith, believe in yourself and always put your best foot forward in everything that you do. It is imperative to surround yourself with likeminded individuals who will continue to push you towards greatness. I have truly been blessed . My parents, Mr & Mrs Theophilus & Bedelhia Ferguson , of Fayetteville,NC, have always instilled in each of us the importance of education, consistency and the importance of giving back and community involvement.

I am a natural haircare extraordinaire with a passion for glitz , glam, avante garde custom creations. I am a cosmetologist ( AAS), with a specialty in skin / scalp disorders, alopecia, healthy natural haircare, locs, and hair growth.
I am known for cutting edge custom styling, healthy haircare and providing an excellent experience to my clients.
In addition, I am extremely proud of the local and national recognition my brand receives regularly through editorials, pictorials and cover photos for popular hair care magazines.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
As a trailblazer in the beauty industry, risk taking is essential to me! Believe in yourself and your abilities, don’t be timid. Have faith, pray, and remain consistent. Don’t be afraid to bet on yourself! Always maintain your individuality, it will carry you far!
