Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea and Brian Jenzer
Hi Chelsea and Brian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After 2 decades in the restaurant industry, we decided it was time to branch out on our own. When living in New York City we frequently went to a cheese/beer shop that we loved, and we always had the dream of opening our own. Brian grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and traveled around the world cooking. Chelsea is from Shelburne, Vermont and has front of house experience in restaurants and marketing. Through our travels we kept a list of ideas that we would someday like to see in our space. When the opportunity arose in Cobblestone Village, we knew it was finally time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s with any start up business, there are ups and downs. Having to deal with months of construction delays was frustrating.
As you know, we’re big fans of Artisan Beer and Cheese. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Artisan Beer and Cheese is a casual restaurant and retail concept that introduces our customers to top of the line cheeses and cured meats from around the world. There are 8 constantly rotating beers on tap, along with a wide selection of wines by the bottle and glass as well as a large cooler full of single cans of beers, ciders, hard seltzers and N/A options. Along with our full deli counter with hand cut cheeses and meats, we have a retail area that has everything you need to put together a charcuterie board at home.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
We are so thankful to our friends and family that have given us unwavering support and guidance. Advice from other restaurant/ brewery owners and other successful entrepreneurs has been invaluable. Family and friends have been nothing but encouraging about our endeavor and we are forever grateful for that.
