Today we’d like to introduce you to Orlando Parker Jr

Hi Orlando, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After moving to Raleigh from Detroit Michigan in 2008, I slowly built a reputation in North Carolina as a live musical performer.. Over the past decade, I’ve found myself performing on stage at Raleigh Little Theatre and Cat’s Cradle as well as the Red Hat Amphitheater, Berkeley Cafe, and most every stage, dive, or street corner in the Triangle.
My band was just added to Hopscotch .

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been smooth… Sometimes there seem to be no opportunities. It’s during these times that you realize you have a responsibility for actually creating opportunities, not just seizing them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love singing above all, but second for me is visual story-telling. I love bringing my songs to life through a music video. I have filmed around a dozen, starring in them. I have directed at least 4 of them. Filming my videos in place like Paris France or London England has been a greatly fulfilling for me artistically.,

Music…becuase it concurs ALL.
