Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born in Naples (Italy) raised in NY and NJ , my parents decided to move back to Italy when my dad retired. My dream was always to move back to US and continue what I learned from my dad. He was a pizza chef and i remember the love and sacrifice for his restaurants/pizzeria’s.. after years going back and forth from Italy to Us in 2022 I decided to move definitely here in NC where my boyfriend Rosario was with my 4 children, after 16 months working in this place we decided to buy it and now we are the owners of Pizza Mia in Durham.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, my family its all in the east cost … up to CT passing by NY to MI .. North Carolina was a challenge for myself , I took a risk but I came out on top with the help of my partner too. Here everything is different from where I grew up , I love NY and also NJ and I miss Italy so much , especially my mom Maria Grazia.

Pizza Mia is an Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria located in Durham County
We have a lot of items in our menu , pizza wraps subs pasta , salads and many many more
You should came and try our food expecially Pizza or our Lasagna from our grandma recipe

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I am very a lucky person. My parents sacrificed their life for me and I am very proud of them. I have 4 children , Grace , Lorenzo , Jordan and Kyle and I will do my best for them too. Pizza Mia it’s a small business restaurant, my children appreciate our dedication for it , and we all know that we are very lucky to serve a small community that love us too a lot.
