Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Daniels

Hi Jade, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The beginning of my journey starts in 2020 with me creating my body butter formula for my mother. I initially had no plan of starting a business, I was just trying to help my mom with the skin dryness she was experiencing due to medications. I went through many different formulas until i found the one that was just right. Over a few months of consistent usage her skin went from dry and flaky to soft and glowing. It totally healed her skin. It became a staple in the household and we both regularly used it. I eventually let my family try it out and they encouraged me to start selling it. My dad being a finance and business major he helped me set up my platform to sell my product. I was still in high school, so I was unaware how to fully market and push my brand. Upon graduating I have been able to spend a lot more time on building my brand and networking. Over the past year I have done local markets in Durham, Raleigh, and Greensboro, added new products to the catalog, as well as collaborated with other wonderful local businesses . It has been the biggest pleasure to be able to help so many people feel luxurious in their own skin and spread the message of self love. I have created beautiful connections with customers and other vendors that fill my heart and I am so excited to meet those to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely had its challenges. Being a young entrepreneur has been difficult because there were a lot of very large things ahead of me that I had to be responsible for. There was something inside of me that wanted it badly but I was also scared. Working past that fear and just taking the leap was definitely a process within itself but in the end I can honestly say worth it. That process for sure has not ended yet either, as I continue to grow and build this business there continue to be obstacles and fears that I have to overcome. I have recently encountered a deeply painful obstacle with bearing the loss of my mother, yet through this process I have felt it important to continue this journey of sharing the message of self love and that EVERYONE deserves to feel luxurious in their skin. The message that I built with my mother. I take time for myself to grieve but my end goal is still the same, Share all natural products that promote healing and self love with the world.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make all natural self care products that caters to all types of sensitive skin. I use 100% essential oils to fragrance all of my products to ensure low chances of irritation to the skin and to add natural benefits to the products. My body butters aid dry flaky skin, scarring, acne and I have learned during my course of connecting with customers that it also helps with eczema and psoriasis. I am very big on using all natural ingredients in all of my products because I am a believer that the body absorbs it much easier. What sets my body butter apart from others is that I use a total of 2 butters and 8 oils to create and entirely non greasy, soft, absorbent, and healing body butter that leaves you feeling luxuriously soft and glowy. With consistent use you can attain a completely natural glow.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My parents definitely have played a big role in this process! My mom was inspiration for a lot of my products and the way I go about running the business; my dad helped out a lot with the administrative side of things like getting an LLC and setting up a website and organization marketing. They are my biggest supports ! My friends also help out a lot when it comes to vending events and even production of products. I am extremely thankful for everyone who has backed me and supported and continue to do so !
