Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Montiel

Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my Academy in May of 2023.
It’s been a little over a year now.
And thankfully we’ve had much successful.
We have performed at many festivals, stadiums schools and even a concert.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has been very smooth actually.

As you know, we’re big fans of Luz de mi Tierra Folklorico Academy. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Luz de mi Tierra is a Mexican Folklore Academy.
Specialized in teaching kids 5 and up, about the culture of mexican folklore.
We are located on Gate City in Greensboro.

We over classes to kids 5 and up.
We have 2 groups as of now as well as a summer program.

Chiquitines are our kids that range from ages 5 to 10

Juvenil are our kids that range from ages 11 and up

Right now we have a summer program for kids 2 to 4

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always creative, i always had my hands on everything and anything.
I loved making crafts out of recycled material, loved painting, drawings.

Then i got into dance at the age of 14 and completely feel in love with Mexican Folklor
