Hi Eric, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
King Eric is a Journalist Music Curator, and writer whom got his head start in Hip Hop media in 2000. He felt inspired by the Source and XXL to pursue writing for the culture and started reviewing hip hop albums which led to compensation. Eric’s reviews were highly favored, respected, and very honest which opened up new avenues.

In 2014 King Eric wanted to Off The Cuff Radio is a North Carolina based Internet radio show(via blog talk radio) set up to give interviews to legends and up and coming artists. Off The Cuff Radio is also a platform for legendary acts whom want to reintroduce themselves and tell their story for a new audience. King Eric has also been apart of big platforms such as Murder Master Music Show, Die4Radio, MsToi Radio Show, OutlawRadio and more

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly it hasn’t been a smooth road to 600 episodes.

We had our struggles. We’ve had guests no call, no show on us,

We had guests whom sometimes wouldn’t be talkative and add on that we are a independent operation. We’re don’t have a corporation behind us but that never stopped us.

I also had to find my own style, voice, and build a real good team behind us.

I Want to send my love to my partner Thomas Mitchell, Ila R Da Sandman, Sarah Coleman, Candice Cooper, Robert Bowden, Joyce Lewis, Remedy Maiden , Israel Picasso and many others whom helped along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator. And as a content creator you can check us out at the off the cuff radio YouTube channel, I talk about hip hop music I talk about sports I talk about wrestling, and we also do interviews with artists activist poets producers actors you name it.

What I’m most proud of is that I was put in a position to be the catalyst of change. When I started hip hop journalism in 1999, I wanted to be able to create and write the stories that I know that was going to change the vanguard of how we look at the culture of our music.

And what sets us apart from others is we really do our research. We do our homework on our every guest that we book. We know how to make our guests comfortable to where they trust us with the information they give us and want to come back and show us love.

I was able to branch out from writing to basically doing radio and we’re 700 episodes in within 10 years. We also formed Thy Vincii clothing which is apart of the legendary tree we wanted to build.
