Today we’d like to introduce you to Elliott Williams

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Like many other areas, I one day had this thought that I believe I could be a photographer. As always, I started doing the research and decided to buy my first used camera from a pawnshop. Like many other people when learning something new, my family became my test subjects. One of my very first shoots was in my living room doing a maternity shoot for my wife. I look back at those pictures and I love them because of the people in it. While my wife can make any photographers work look amazing, those pics were horrible! Lol However, I had no clue that this would turn into something I not only just felt I would be good at, but also something that I love and enjoy and has allowed me to meet so many great people in so many different places.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has not and still is not an easy road. Entrepreneurship is a tough. Some weeks or months it’s super busy. Other times, it can be very slow. However, I’ve learned to make use of the down time with practice and doing some free sessions to work on my skill and build my portfolio.
As well, there were some times when my shots didn’t always come out the way I wanted or because I’ve mostly trained myself, there were a lot of mistakes I made that were costly! Yet, the bumps in the road have been training ground and I wouldn’t trade it.
