Daily Inspiration: Meet Keli B.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keli B.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started creating content back in 2012 on YouTube. My niche at the time was natural hair. I did three big chops throughout the years and shared my journey of maintaining natural healthy hair. As the year went on I started playing in makeup because I had this short natural hair so I felt makeup would jazz me up a little.

Here we are now in 2024 and iamKeliB (Beauty & Lifestyle) has turned into its own brand. I represent women over 40. I create tutorials that are easy to follow like everyday makeup to having conversations about having a hysterectomy.

In addition, I created a podcast We Age Graceful for women over 40. My mission is to empower women and to let them know life is just starting at 40 and to never give and your not to old.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are so many struggles you encounter as a content creator. Especially having a full-time job like myself. Finding time to create the content and knowing how to balance it all. I have lost content because my memory card is damaged or the video doesn’t do well in the algorithm.

I really enjoy what I do, so I find ways to overcome my challenges.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well in addition to being a content creator, I am an Accountant and I specialize in fixed assets and grants. I truly love what I do for a living because not only do I use my accounting skills for my employer. I use them in my personal life to manage my finances.
