Today we’d like to introduce you to Alycia Hill
Hi Alycia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey in fashion at a very young age. I taught myself to sew when I was just 7 years old, repurposing old clothing into handbags. As my love for fashion grew, by the age of 10, I knew I wanted to have my own clothing label. Sustainability and mindfulness have always been central to my design process, even from the beginning.
During college, I designed for multiple fashion shows and always made it a point to include a message in my collections. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I moved to New York City, where I worked in custom-made-to-measure clothing. There, I honed my skills in design, fit, and styling details.
The inspiration for my brand, Vite, came during a self-healing journey last year. While volunteering on sustainable farms, I truly realized the importance of preserving our planet. Vite is a eco-friendly women’s clothing brand that exclusively uses natural fiber fabrics free from chemicals and is ethically manufactured in the U.S. My mission is to create meaningful, wearable art that reflects who we are.
What do your clothes say about you? Wearing Vite means being part of a larger family, committed to protecting our planet—not just for us, but for generations to come.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been neither smooth nor rough, but instead, it’s been the road I needed to equip me with the tools to run my business and live a meaningful life. Have things always worked out the way I imagined? Of course not! But looking back, I can see the value in every moment and what it taught me.
One of my most recent challenges has been crowdfunding. This is completely new territory for me, and asking friends, family, and even strangers for financial support can feel awkward at times. However, I truly believe in myself and in my brand’s mission. I’m confident that I will surpass my goal and make waves in the fashion industry while spreading my message.
I’m grateful for this moment, for the opportunity to grow, and for the chance to put myself out there. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned valuable lessons—life moves in seasons, and it’s important to know when to move on or when certain doors have closed. I’ve also learned to be patient and to observe what moments of stillness are teaching me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a women’s contemporary clothing designer, and my brand, Vite, specializes in creating everyday clothing for women who want to express themselves with confidence and intention. Vite uses only natural fiber fabrics, free from chemicals, and each garment is ethically manufactured here in the U.S. What I love most about designing clothing is the transformative power it holds—clothing can give you confidence and empower you to show up as your truest self every day. I truly believe that every day is a fashion show, where you get to choose who you want to be through the clothes you wear.
What I’m most proud of is the impact and message embedded in every garment I design. Vite stands for positive change within the fashion industry, rejecting harmful practices and embracing sustainability, mindfulness, and quality. My style and design aesthetic are unique because they’re an authentic reflection of who I am—I bring my vision to life by simply being myself. That individuality is what sets Vite apart and makes my work truly one of a kind.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe good luck is on my side, but more than that, I’m a firm believer in fate and that everything is predestined. My journey has consistently opened the right doors when I’m ready to walk through them. So, is that luck? I see it more as destiny.
I’m constantly arriving at new destinations, and with each one, there’s always something new to learn or overcome. We live life moving forward but often only understand it looking back. So even in moments that feel like bad luck, I’ve come to realize it’s the universe redirecting me towards a more favorable outcome. I truly believe that everything is always working out for my good, even if I can’t see it in the moment.
