THE STORY OF YAGG SIi TENN which means in our native language WOLOF (PATIENCE &PERSEVERANCE) IS A PRETTY SIMPLE STRUGGLE AND DETERMINATION STORY OF LIFE AND HOW YOUR VALUES AND VIRTUES WILL GET YOU THROUGH IT .IN OUR HOME COUNTRY (SENEGAL:WEST AFRICA).THE EXPRESSION MEANS “ONE WHO SHALL LAST IN THE WELL SHALL SEE THE LIGHT” WHICH EXPLAIN THE WOMEN FETCHING WATER DEPICTED IN OUR LOGO .
OUR OWNERS AND EXCECUTIVE CHEFS HAVE BEEN IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE AN EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF WORLD CUISINE,ESPECIALLY AFRICAN SINCE WE HAVE STRONG ROOTS AND UNIQUE TIES TO THE CONTINENT.WE’VE BEEN CATERING TO THE TRIANGLE AREA AND OTHER STATES PROVIDING MULTIPLE EVENT SERVICES ,PACKAGING AND LABELING SOLUTIONS SINCE 2012 AND HAVE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL AT IT.OUR MOBILE KITCHEN IS ON THE MOVE ON A DAILY BASIS TO PROVIDE GOOD HEALTHY MEALS TO OUR PATRONS.WHETHER YOU HAVE A SIMPLE PARTY,BIRTHDAY,WEDDING OR NAMING CEREMONY ,WE ARE HERE TO MAKE YOUR DAY UNFORGETTABLE AS YOU KNOW THAT FOOD IS PROBABLY THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN AN EVENT.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
LOL ,😁 Not a smooth road At all ,It has been really rough from the conception up to this point because the concept of many type of Cuisine from the African continent in the same setting is very unique and hard to execute.
Also the financial backing wasn’t there ,we had to fight for ways to make it happen every step of the way and even building the restaurant that we have today it was all done out of pocket and with Infaltion ,we encounter delays but Thank God now we are here.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We specialize in Cuisine from about 43 different countries of Africa.The one thing that we are known for is our diversity and ability to execute our dishes to near perfection and make people from different region find a piece of home in our establishment. We are proud to be representing The African Nation and its culture through our Cuisine and make people discover new flavors .We are please of helping our communities by creating jobs here in the US and back in our home country.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I think what works every time is to stay true to yourself to your mission and stay constant.Also Stay discipline with everything.
