Meet Melissa Bailey of Fin Fatale Fashion, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Bailey

Hi Melissa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey There! Melissa aka The Spotted Beauty here! I started my journey in fashion as a Body Positivity Influencer and model and slowly bloomed into a Model and Runway Coach/Coordinator and Internationally Published. being vulnerable and embracing all of my unique qualities for the world to see. Pushing myself outside if my comfort zone so that I can grow and truly learn to love and embrace ALL OF ME! After experiencing the model side of things, I decided that I wanted to make people feel even more incredible. What better way to do that then do create garments that make people feel like the Devine creatures that they are! That is when the vision of Fin Fatale Fashion LLC was born. If I can affect just one person and help them to feel comfortable, powerful and WORTHY in the skin they are in then I AM SUCCEEDING! I can honestly say I am now living in my truth and living my BEST LIFE. I hope to continue to be approached and anointed with opportunities to be SEEN and to support others as they are SEEN, so that we normalize people with differences and uniqueness. We are all made perfectly imperfect! My life’s purpose is to empower, uplift and make humans as a whole, no matter what their walk of life, feel the best they’ve ever felt! Or at least close!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road but all roads have bumps. I have gone through my fair share of challenges and hurdles but each made me stronger in the end. I am a 3 time Domestic Violence Survivor and a 2 times Sexual Assault Survivor and dealt with very horrible self esteem and self worth issues during my childhood due to developing the skin condition called “vitiligo” at age 8. It made me an easy target for bullies and truly was hard to overcome. I then developed an eating disorder at 15. I was bulimic and anorexic, and honestly still struggle with in periodically to this day. An eating disorder is like alcoholism, once you have it, you will always have it. It wasn’t until later in my adulthood that I truly began to feel comfortable in my skin. Now I push myself every day to lean into my beauty and to show others that UNIQUE IS BEAUTIFUL. PERIOD. While empowering others, I’ve truly healed very large parts of myself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Fin Fatale Fashion, LLC?
