Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always had a passion for entertaining and creating unique experiences for people. When I learned about luxury picnic businesses, I knew I wanted to offer this to our beautiful Lake Norman residents and visitors.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a new small business owner, this year has been full of challenges and excitement. One of my biggest struggles has been balancing cost with quality. Providing customized and high-quality experiences for my clients while minimizing expenses has definitely been an area of focus since day 1. Our market area is affluent and although this offers significant potential, our clients are also discerning and have very high expectations.

We’ve been impressed with Lake Norman Luxury Picnics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lake Norman Luxury Picnics was a dream of mine that came to fruition in May 2024. We specialize in creating luxury picnic and event experiences that are unique and tailored to the needs of our clients. We are committed to a high level of customer service and have worked hard to establish ourselves as a brand our clients and vendors can trust. We communicate promptly and frequently with our clients. We respond to all inquiries in a timely manner, address any issues professionally and keep everyone informed throughout the event planning process. Our clients value our streamlined processes and our commitment to their satisfaction. They are looking for a memorable experience and we deliver this from start to finish.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Before launching my business, I worked very hard to establish relationships with several vendors. As a start-up business with no history, this was challenging at times. However, prioritizing these relationships has been critical to my success. These partnerships have helped us to establish credibility in the community. They have also helped us deliver consistent quality and enhanced customer satisfaction. On a more personal level, these partners have developed into friends and mentors and without them I would certainly not be where I am today.
