Meet Savanna Stiltner of Tenco Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savanna Stiltner

Savanna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It started almost two years ago when I realized that being a single mom, who was well into their mental health journey, that I was unable to work a normal job. That’s when I decided that finding a job that allowed me to work a flexible schedule around my child and my needs was necessary to having a life where we both could thrive. The search for that life led me to the opportunity to purchase Tenco Coffee. Life has been so beautiful and fulfilling since then. I’ve found a lovely community, loyal customers, and so much adventure.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to has not been smooth but, what roads are? From finding locally sourced coffee to jobs being rained out to the truck breaking down. Many bumps on the road have been huge financial setbacks. I almost gave up a year ago when the truck needed a $3,000 repair. My child was so upset that the truck may not come back from the “truck doctor”. This settled it for me. I had to keep it going and keep the truck serving coffee all over the triangle. Seeing how much the truck meant to her solidified that this is the life I wanted for her and I. A career that let me spend more time with her and that let her come to jobs and festivals with me. Tenco Coffee is more than a mobile coffee company it’s the cornerstone that keeps my daughter and I able to have the closest relationship we can.

As you know, we’re big fans of Tenco Coffee. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a self contained mobile coffee shop that offers locally roasted coffee, seasonal specials, a variety of teas, customizable service, contract barista services, pastries and so much more.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Doing good recklessly. From offering my time to giving out free coffee when I can. Hiring and training people in need to work the truck. Just honestly doing good.
