Hi Reginald, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Lil Reggie Cookies is a local cookie business in Clayton, NC specializing in an assortment of freshly prepared and baked goods with a rotating menu and various selections. It all started around seven years old when a young African American male would go with his dad to evangelize the streets and witness to at risk youth, prostitutes, drug addicts and the homeless populations. As he became older, he strategized ways that he could give back and improve his community. He enjoyed sweets that his mom used to bake. In addition to this, Lil Reggie used to bake the store-bought cookies brands. One day he decided to combine his passion for cookies and witnessing and hence Lil Reggie Cookies was born. His father got him his first commercial kitchen and mixer. He began participating in pop ups and doing catering orders. Today, Lil Reggie has expanded to his first storefront doating a large part of monies received from the cookie sales drives the focus of Lil Reggie Cookies.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, it has been a smooth road, however, some of the struggles have been finding good help, finding spots to sell my cookies. In addition to this I have struggled with some marketing issues as well. However, I understood that obstacles were part of the business journey. Another thing that has been a struggle also is to produce a decent number of cookies due to high demand and occupying a oven. Staying motivated as well. Some slow times in business have caused me to get discouraged sometimes but I push through.

Lil Reggie Cookies provides an assortment of freshly prepared and baked gourmet cookies utilizing locally sourced and quality ingredients. My enthusiasm and ambition to help others is what fuels all I do. I have a burning desire to see others succeed and become the best version of themselves which is why I devote my time to encouraging others aspiring teen-preneurs to never give up. In addition, I am actively seeking ways to tackle homelessness by donating a percentage of proceeds to feeding, sheltering and clothing the homeless. As time permits and as a way to relax, I enjoy playing basketball, writing and making music. When i am not actively writing my own books, I enjoy gaining knowledge from other books that focus on other business owner and their career paths top success such as Moes Bows. To increase my business knowledge, I enjoy reading books that teach different strategies to be more successful in business such as The Gen Y generation and more books.
