Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanif Brown

Hi Hanif, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been around cameras most of my life. My mother used to always have one with her during family gatherings and such. Seeing that made me want to pick up a camera. Since then I’ve done photoshoots of everything from skyscraper rooftop photoshoot to festival shooting. Just going out and taking pictures of everything I can got me to where I’m at today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road I’ll tell you that. There has definitely been times where I’ve had creativity block or struggled to find clients when I first started out. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger so you just gotta keep going!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Mainly I work in photography but I have been doing a lot more video work with vlogs and music videos. My style of shooting and editing is a mix of digital shooting with a film style edit, to be able to get the best of both worlds.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
You gotta take risks in life. No matter what you’re doing you have to because at the end of the day if it doesn’t work out you can at least say you tried. Soon enough if you continue taking those risks it’ll pay off.
