Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronald Sizemore
Hi Ronald, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My wife and I both became North Carolina real estate agents 3 years ago after relocating to the Raleigh/Durham triangle from the New York City area. Our son had attended Duke University a few years ago and we just fell in love with the area each time we came down for a visit. Prior to becoming real estate agents my wife and I owned and operated a digital printing/graphic design business in New York City for many years. We had been considering a move south for many years so when Covid came along we decided the time was right. My wife and I have worked side by side for over 30 years (she is the “people person” and I’m the operational & advertising side). Many of our friends express amazement that a marriage can survive a couple being together 24/7 but it’s worked for us. We love the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area because it offers such a wide range of activities. Within a couple of hours we can be hiking in the mountains or sitting on the beach. We have Duke & UNC sports & lectures, museums, theater, concerts and much more.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The relocation was relatively easy but getting our real estate license was not as easy as many people think. And then even after you get your license there is so much more to learn in order to be a good resource for your clients. And because the Triangle is such a large and diverse area it’s taken a lot of time in the car visiting neighborhood it order to be well versed in what each area has to offer.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sizemore Real Estate Services?
I think already gave some background in an earlier answer. I guess what I would say is our specialty is that throughout our entire professional life we’ve focused very hard on providing an extremely high level of service to our clients. Whether it was in our previous printing business or in our current real estate business we’re not looking to just “seal the deal” but to take time to get our know the client, what their pain points are, what their goals and challenges are so that we can craft the best solution that meets their needs. And clients appreciate that approach, especially in today’s auto/AI world.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Our brokerage firm Coldwell Banker HPW has provided an extremely wide range of training and mentoring. We’ve spent upwards of 100 hours (post license) in various training and continuing education so that the firm’s agents can be the most knowledgable and resourceful agents in the market. In real estate you never stop learning and I’d say our firm (14 office in NC) provides the best training and support of any brokerage firms in the area.
