Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Harrison

Hi JONATHAN, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, my children approached me with an idea of becoming content creators on social media. At the time, they were already active on social media, so I didn’t think much of it. But then, I began to reflect on the potential. Rather than just consuming content, perhaps we could help guide them in navigating the world of social media as creators, not just spectators. I saw it as an opportunity for us to bond as a family, and also a chance for me to offer a positive influence in a space that often seemed overwhelming.

We were unsure about where to start. We knew we wanted to create something unique, but we had no idea what kind of content would resonate with our audience. To find direction, we turned to the creators who were already carving their niche in the family space. After browsing through various accounts, we felt drawn to the idea of creating content around fun family games and lifestyle. The joy of playing together, sharing our favorite activities, and offering ideas to make family time more engaging seemed like a perfect fit for our vision.

As we dove into the world of content creation, we quickly realized it wasn’t just about making videos or posting photos. It became a shared experience, one that strengthened our family bond while allowing us to create something meaningful. The process of brainstorming, filming, and editing together was not only fun but also educational for all of us. The more we explored this new venture, the more we realized how much of an impact we could have by simply showcasing the simple joys of family life through games, laughter, and creativity.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As we embarked on our social media journey, we had the luxury of time during the summer months. With the kids out of school, we were able to dedicate whole days to creating content as a family, and it felt effortless. However, when school resumed in August, the dynamic shifted. Balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and family life quickly became a challenge. Our creative process, once fluid and spontaneous, now had to compete with tight schedules and the demands of school. Finding time to film and brainstorm together became trickier, and we had to be more intentional about how we managed our time and made the most of the hours we had to create.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In 2023, I took a significant step in my career by accepting a position as a shift supervisor at Eli Lilly, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry. This role holds great meaning for me, not only because it marks an exciting professional milestone, but also because I am now part of a company whose mission is to improve the lives of patients. Knowing that my work directly contributes to creating better outcomes for people around the world gives me a deep sense of purpose. I’m fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team of colleagues who share this vision, making each day at Eli Lilly both rewarding and fulfilling.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One surprising fact that most people might not know about me is that I come from a large family—I’m one of 10 children! Growing up in such a big household, there was never a dull moment. My parents were married for 47 years, and they raised all of us with love, discipline, and a strong sense of family values. My father, who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, instilled in us the importance of hard work, dedication, and commitment. People are often surprised when they learn about my family background, especially since I now have my own children and am creating a new generation of family memories and traditions.
