Hi Courtney , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, thank you for the opportunity to share my story. Writing a book has been a dream of mine since high school, but for years, I hesitated to take the leap. Life led me down different paths. I built a career in real estate and even ran for public office. Along the way, I gained experiences and lessons that shaped me, but the desire to write never faded. I truly believe that everything happens at the right time, and now, I finally felt ready to turn this lifelong dream into reality.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to publishing has been both exciting and challenging. There were moments of doubt and setbacks along the way, but my passion for sharing my story kept me going. Seeing my words come to life and knowing they might impact a child’s life makes it all worth it. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s to come!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As an author, my work is centered around storytelling that inspires, uplifts, and teaches valuable life lessons. My debut children’s book reflects my belief in spreading kindness and sharing the lessons I’ve learned throughout my journey. I strive to create stories that not only entertain but also leave a lasting impact on young readers.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe risk taking is essential for growth. It’s never easy stepping into the unknown, but some of the most rewarding moments in life come from taking chances. For years, I hesitated to pursue my dream of becoming an author, unsure if it was the right time or if I would succeed. Finally taking that leap putting my work out into the world was a risk, but it was one worth taking.

Beyond writing, I’ve taken risks in my career, whether running for public office or pursuing new opportunities outside my comfort zone. Each experience taught me that fear and uncertainty shouldn’t hold me back. I see risk as a necessary step toward achieving anything meaningful, and even when things don’t go as planned, there’s always something to learn from the journey.
