Today we’d like to introduce you to Edie Johnson
Hi Edie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
With 28 personal home transactions over the past 36 years, I’ve developed a deep and detailed understanding of property valuations, negotiations, and transaction management, which I bring to my business. Since transitioning into residential real estate sales, I’ve taken pleasure in sharing my firsthand relocation experiences to ensure my clients enjoy smooth, stress-free transactions and a successful move into their new homes. Throughout my numerous family moves, I worked with 28 real estate agents to navigate the process. To my disappointment, only two of those agents stood out as exceptional—truly listening to my needs and steering me in the right direction. This realization became a driving force behind my decision to enter the real estate business, where I could prioritize clients’ needs and make a difference. My strongest motivation is to offer guidance while empowering my clients to make their own decisions, always respecting their timeline.
I deeply value the trust my clients place in me and never forget the importance of a skilled Realtor/Broker in any transaction. Going beyond my clients’ expectations is my top priority. I achieve this by listening attentively, responding promptly, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism in every interaction.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life’s journey, like any road, is full of unexpected curves and turns, and real estate is no exception—each transaction is distinct, shaped by unique circumstances and clients. When I began, my initial focus was on gaining as much education as possible, especially since I was new to the area and lacked an established client base. Over time, hands-on experience enriched my skills, seasoning me as a Broker. Then, when COVID struck, it transformed the real estate landscape, introducing a new layer of complexity to transactions. This period sharpened my negotiation and interpersonal skills, as I worked with agents and builders during a frenzy where homes sold in “coming soon” status or pre-market, often far above market trends. Just this past year, the industry shifted again with changes to seller and buyer agency agreements, sparking yet another learning curve in how we build relationships with clients and customers. Real estate, driven by ever-evolving demand, ensures that every day brings a fresh experience.
