Daily Inspiration: Meet Tangela Carelock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tangela Carelock.

Hi Tangela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in the real estate sector back in March of 2022. At this time I purchased my first rental property. While working on getting this property ready for tenants was a task….but as time went on I found joy in working on this “project”. I was able to meet different vendors in the construction world and learn a lot about maintaining homes. Fast forward 3 years later I am now a licensed Real Estate Broker with the state of NC. My ultimate goal is to have my own property management firm and oversee properties for local and non local clients.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While in pre-licensing school my grandfather fell very ill. At this time my family all pitched in to help as much as we could. I ultimately ended up taking FMLA from my job and continued on with my pre licensing class. Each day I would have to spend around 6-7 hours with my grandparents getting them to doctor appointments, cleaning, running errands etc. There was little time to study as I also have an 8 year old son. But I am a firm believer in God and know that he can and will sustain us if we keep him first. Long story short through much prayer, fasting, studying and reading the bible I PASSED the class, NC & State exam all on the first try. The road was definitely a little bumpy but I stayed the course and didn’t give up.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a NC licensed Real Estate Agent. I specialize in helping First Time Home Buyers and Land Seekers obtain real estate. I am most proud of my clients whom continue to show up each and every day while working to create generational wealth through real estate whether that be a first time home buyer, returning home buyer, investor etc. What sets me apart from the rest is my expertise in land sales. I pride myself on knowing the ins and outs of what may seem like a “complicated” feat.
