Meet Lee Brewer of Lee Brewer Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Brewer.

Lee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2007, I found myself at the lowest point in my personal health—I was 60 pounds over my ideal weight and knew something had to change. That turning point sparked a transformation. I committed myself fully to fitness, lost the weight, and discovered a deep passion for health and the gym environment.

By 2011, that passion had evolved into a purpose. I began studying to become a certified personal trainer and, in 2012, started my professional journey at a small gym in Apex. I also took on a role as a fitness instructor at a studio in Durham, gaining experience and refining my coaching style.

In 2014, I took a leap of faith and went into business for myself, becoming a 50% owner of a personal training studio. Over the next 10 years, I trained countless clients, helping them transform their lives the same way I had transformed mine.

Eventually, I brought my vision even closer to home—literally. I converted the lower level of my house into a fully equipped, 1,500-square-foot private training studio. Today, I train clients both in-person and online, offering a customized, results-driven approach in a comfortable and motivating environment.

Helping others become the strongest, healthiest versions of themselves is not just my job—it’s my calling.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most challenging part through my journey was the decision to step out start my own business. I gained lots in valuable experience working for a gym, but the gym’s vision of personal training and my personal vision were not aligned. I felt the gym focused more on how to get the most people in and out in a day rather than focusing on quality time spent with each individual client. This led me to make the decision to go out on my own and train, and where that I felt met my own personal standard.

We’ve been impressed with Lee Brewer Fitness , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been a certified personal trainer since 2012, specializing in one-on-one and small group training. Over the years, I’ve primarily worked with clients between their mid-30s and mid-60s, with a strong focus on women’s fitness. That said, my experience spans a wide range—I’ve trained everyone from teen athletes and competitive powerlifters to seniors and women navigating pre- and postpartum fitness.

What I’m most proud of is the long-term relationships I’ve built. Many of my clients have been with me for over a decade, and even more for five years or longer. I believe that kind of loyalty speaks volumes about the trust I’ve earned and the results I help people achieve.

My approach is rooted in connection, consistency, and customization. I offer both in-person and online training, tailored to the individual or small group. My services include fully customized exercise programming, guidance on nutrition, and ongoing support to help clients reach—and sustain—their goals.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is maintaining a reputation for truly seeing and treating each client as an individual. No two people are the same, and their fitness journeys shouldn’t be either. Every training program and piece of nutrition advice I provide is thoughtfully tailored to the unique needs, goals, and lifestyle of the person I’m working with. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions—my approach is personal, intentional, and built to deliver real, lasting results.
