I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. I earned my Master’s of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and have built a diverse career in several specialties, including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Geriatrics, and Aesthetics—where I discovered my true passion.

After working for corporate med spas for several years, and witnessing first-hand the areas that needed improvement, I decided it was time to advance my career by opening my own practice. Ensuring an exceptional patient experience from start to finish became one of my top priorities. My ultimate goal was to achieve this while pursuing my professional dreams and maintaining a healthy work-life balance for my family. This vision is what helped bring The Skinnovation Studio to life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching The Skinnovation Studio has been one of the most rewarding yet challenging experiences of my career. One of the biggest struggles has been wearing multiple hats—being both the provider and the business owner means I’m managing everything from patient care to marketing, inventory, scheduling, and overall operations. There’s a steep learning curve when transitioning from a clinical role to running a full-fledged business. Another challenge has been building a client base from the ground up. It takes time to establish trust, especially in the aesthetics industry where results and relationships are everything. Balancing the excitement of growth with the pressure of perfection has definitely tested me, but it’s also helped me grow tremendously as both a provider and entrepreneur.
