Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Aun.
Hi Jennifer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely—I’d be happy to walk you through my story.
My journey began with a passion for engineering and a desire to contribute to something greater than myself. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, with minors in Nuclear Energy and Physics, from New Mexico State University. Soon after, I entered the defense and aerospace industry as a civilian engineer, starting my career at Raytheon Missile Systems.
While at Raytheon, I worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer on advanced missile technologies—guidance and navigation control systems, optical seekers, and RF guidance. As I grew in the role, I was promoted to Value Stream Lead for the AMRAAM Air-to-Air Missile program, one of Raytheon’s most successful product lines, where I led cross-functional teams and drove production excellence.
During this time, I made the decision to also serve my country in a different capacity by joining the U.S. Army Reserves. For six years, I served as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Non-Commissioned Officer, managing crisis response, defense operations, and strategic planning—all while continuing my work in the civilian sector. Balancing both roles gave me a unique perspective on mission readiness, leadership, and the importance of secure, resilient systems.
I later transitioned to Northrop Grumman Space Systems, where I served as both an Operations Test Engineer and an Electrical (Analog) Design Engineer. I led design teams on power distribution systems for major satellite programs like NASA’s Landsat 9 and the Joint Polar Satellite System. One of my proudest moments was seeing a subsystem I helped design successfully launch into orbit on Landsat 9—a milestone that deepened my passion for systems integration, simulation, and digital transformation.
That passion eventually led me into business strategy and consulting, supporting tech startups and defense contractors with government contracting, strategic planning, and digital innovation. In 2024, I founded Stellar Quanta Labs to bring together my engineering expertise, military insight, and entrepreneurial spirit. As Founder and CEO, I now lead a team delivering secure, scalable IT solutions, decentralized applications, AI systems, and digital modernization strategies for both government and commercial clients.
At my core, I thrive in complexity—whether that’s leading classified defense programs, building space systems, or helping businesses navigate digital transformation. Stellar Quanta Labs is a reflection of everything I’ve learned—driven by mission, built on innovation, and designed to solve tomorrow’s toughest challenges today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—like most entrepreneurial journeys, mine has been filled with unexpected challenges. One of the most significant struggles I’ve faced recently was during my attempt to become a verified Microsoft Partner, Reseller, and Developer. Part of that process required identity verification through a third-party provider—AU10TIX—and I encountered a persistent technical error that prevented me from receiving the verified credential needed to move forward.
At first, I assumed it would be a quick fix. But after countless attempts, support tickets, and back-and-forths with both Microsoft and AU10TIX, I realized the issue ran deeper than just a simple glitch. That experience led me down a path of researching how identity verification systems really work—what happens behind the scenes, where the vulnerabilities are, and why users like myself can fall through the cracks with no resolution.
Rather than give up, I leaned into the problem. It sparked something in me—not just frustration, but curiosity and determination. I wanted to understand why these systems fail, and more importantly, how to build something better. That’s what led to the development of SQL Verify, a decentralized identity and verified credential solution that aims to solve exactly the kind of issue I experienced—by prioritizing user control, cryptographic security, and automatic data purging after credential issuance.
What started as a frustrating roadblock became the catalyst for innovation. It reminded me that real breakthroughs often come from personal pain points—and when we choose to solve those problems ourselves, we create value not just for us, but for countless others facing the same issue.
Now, one of my goals is to position Stellar Quanta Labs as a trusted and secure verified credential issuer—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital identity and decentralized authentication. So no, it hasn’t been smooth—but the bumps in the road have made the vision even clearer.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
