Hi Inderdeep, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Mumbai and raised between India and the U.S., which gave me a deep appreciation for both cultures and their music. I’m professionally known as DUDEWHOSPINS, a name that represents my journey and style as a DJ. My journey with DJing began in high school when I discovered Virtual DJ software—I started freestyling, making beats, and experimenting with sounds just for fun. Although I pursued engineering and worked in the tech and manufacturing world, music was always calling me. In 2021, I started performing in local parks, recording my sets, and sharing them online. People responded positively, and that pushed me to take things more seriously. Since then, I’ve performed at private parties, weddings, clubs, and even a Holi event at Meta. I’m currently learning music production and growing my brand, with over 510 subscribers on YouTube (70,000 views) and 1.1K+ followers on Instagram. I’m currently collaborating with local artists and businesses to create unique, community-driven experiences through music.
These partnerships allow me to blend live DJ sets with art, culture, and everyday spaces—whether it’s a coffee shop vibe or a pop-up event. Working with other creatives and small businesses helps keep my sound fresh and rooted in real connections. I believe in building together, and these collaborations give us all a platform to grow, share, and reach new audiences. I have expanded my network through Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro & Greenville.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing a full-time job while pursuing music was tough. Gaining exposure, investing in gear, and learning everything on my own came with challenges. But each struggle pushed me to grow, stay consistent, and keep evolving as an artist and performer.

I’m a DJ and emerging music producer with a passion for blending global sounds into unforgettable experiences. My sets are heavily influenced by House, Bollywood, Punjabi, EDM, Afro, AND Latin —genres I connected deeply with while living in the U.S. What makes my work unique is the cultural fusion I bring, drawing from my roots in India and my experiences growing up between two continents. I specialize in creating high-energy, emotionally resonant sets that get people moving while telling a story through rhythm and flow.
Over the past few years, I’ve performed at private parties, weddings, clubs, corporate events, and even at a Holi celebration hosted by Meta in 2024. I’m currently learning music production to expand my sound and start releasing original tracks. I’ve built a growing digital presence with over 500 YouTube subscribers, 70,000+ views in the past six months, and 1.1K+ followers on Instagram.
I’m most proud of starting from scratch—learning everything on my own, investing in my craft, and creating a brand that feels true to who I am. What sets me apart is not just my multicultural sound, but the authenticity and connection I bring to every performance. I play with heart, and people feel that.

I’d just like to say that if you’re someone who’s passionate about something—whether it’s music, art, or anything creative—don’t be afraid to start. I began with nothing but curiosity and a laptop in high school, just messing around with Virtual DJ. Fast forward to today, I’m performing at events, learning music production, and building a community around something I genuinely love. It hasn’t always been easy, but every step has been worth it.
I’m always looking to grow, evolve, and stay connected to trends and the people around me. Right now, I’m exploring collaborations with coffee shops and local businesses to bring music into everyday spaces. I believe music doesn’t always need a stage—sometimes the best moments happen in casual, intimate settings.
