Hi Angel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well I always knew I wanted to be a known content creator since I was in elementary school. I had friends who had the platform musically which was the app before it turned into TikTok. I would do musically’s with friends without having the app myself till I realized how fun & entertaining it was, so I got it and never lost the feeling of wanting to become a “Influencer”. I never knew that I would end up having somewhat a platform. I’ve always tried my best to go viral but always seemed to fail, it was very disappointing but I had faith. It wasn’t till 2020 that I had my first viral video with over 500K views, it felt like I had unlocked the cheat sheet to going viral because ever since, so many of my videos blew up. In 2021 I introduced my little sister Merlyn Villagrez who was 3 years old at the time to TikTok & everyone LOVED HER. We would create funny relatable siblings moments and still do. Unfortunately in 2021 my first account with over 120k followers was banned, I created a new one with the feeling that I wasn’t going to make it up there again. But just in two months I hit over 150k followers which was insane because it took me 4 years to hit 120k followers on my first account. I was blowing up it felt like THAT was my prime. Then it happened again I got banned with over 200k followers within a few months of having that account. I was so upset and disappointed but still had the hope that creating a new one will be even better & it was. In 2022 I hit the 200k mark again & had my most videos yet with over 9.4M views & 7.3M views within just a month. In 2023 I went extremely viral with my most views videos that year being 7.4M & 6.4M views it felt good because that’s what I’ve always wanted & I was receiving it. I started getting recognize in school & public by friends, strangers & even teachers. That’s when I started making income and started doing collaborations for financial gain. In 2024 I blew up not just on TikTok but instagram too, I would post the same content on both apps and would always go viral. My most view video in 2024 was with 10M views, my most viral video YET. Now in 2025 I’m halfway to 700K which is insane because I’ve always wanted to be known and felt like it could come true but never saw it coming. And now I get recognized anywhere i go even if it’s in another state or city.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say it was a smooth road, there were moments where I felt like going viral was a priority, it felt like I had to force myself to post videos & lost motivation along the way that I forgot what it was all about, fun & enjoyment . So I did take a few months off social media for my own mental health because it was overwhelming at times. Coming back wasn’t the same, it had felt like I lost my spark in wanting to be what I’ve always saw myself becoming, a known content creator. Now I just take it slow be patient with myself, tell myself I post when I feel like posting & not when I feel like I have to. I still enjoy making videos but don’t really care as much about going viral like I used to.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well at first my content was just about myself, i would post videos about my experiences that I’ve had In life or about how I’m feeling at the moment. And many have related and even felt like they were on ft with me, that’s how raw my content was. I’ve introduced more of my siblings along the way on social media and EVERYONE loves them so now I just post funny siblings moments that we randomly have. I’m also known for multiple reasons, many people know me from my gaming days in 2021. I had an account with 230k where I would post videos of myself playing Roblox. I’m also known for trying different foods, & overall funny videos . I would say I’ve started to specialize in marketing, since I started doing collabs I would promote this one specific company & have earned so much commission, I have sold over 800 products for that one company alone. Not fully experienced but I got experience in marketing now. What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve gotten, not only do I get recognized in public but so do my siblings, I’ve had encountered groups of people coming up to me all at once asking for picture. It makes me feel like a celebrity sometimes because WHAT DO YOU MEAN you want a photo with me??? Overall just proud of how far I’ve gotten. What sets me apart from others is what I post is really how it is, I don’t pretend to be somebody I’m not, my relationship with my siblings In general automatically puts me apart from others. All of us together is like a little best friend group with different age gapes & people love that & find it entertaining to watch.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I was an editor from 2020-2024, I had an account where I would posts edits, or memes. I’ve posted a few videos that hit over 10M views. But nobody knows I did that. My editing account had engagement too that’s what crazy no matter what I did I always found a way to gain popularity.
