Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Delbrune.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, I moved to Raleigh, NC on a whim. With nothing but faith and a last-minute job offer, I packed my bags and relocated to a city I had never even visited. My work in clinical research made the Research Triangle Park (RTP) a perfect fit.
Little did I know, Raleigh would open doors I could have never imagined. I began vlogging my experience as a Raleigh transplant and started gaining traction almost instantly. From my Revealing Raleigh series to co-founding a content creator space for like-minded individuals, Next Wave Raleigh, I’ve been fortunate to grow a following of over 20,000 people across platforms. This journey has led me to incredible opportunities—from attending community events and collaborating with local businesses to being invited to the Mayor’s Executive Mansion.
Showcasing my personality and passions along the way has blossomed into a growing community of supporters. At just 25 years old, I’ve already accomplished more than I ever dreamed—and I’m excited to see what’s next.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life hasn’t been smooth, to say the least.
I was fortunate to have a faster educational journey than most, but that came with its own set of challenges. Graduating college at 18 was never part of the plan. While it brought praise and recognition, it also came with social adversities I never anticipated. Adjusting to the academic learning curve was tough—but dealing with social anxiety was even harder. It was a constant battle, honestly, up until recently. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned through it all is to be confident and stay true to myself, no matter what. Whoever is meant for me will be for me—period. That principle has stuck with me and continues to guide how I show up in the world. Being myself has brought me further than I ever imagined, and truthfully, I wouldn’t want to be anyone else.
Moving to a new city brought a fresh set of challenges—sometimes with every single blessing. Living in a place without close relatives or anyone I could truly rely on hit me hard and fast. From lugging large furniture alone to dealing with unexpected car troubles, the obstacles came one after another. But as a middle child, I’ve always had a strong sense of independence. That trait has served me especially well in this season of my life. For me, moving far from home was never a question—it was a step I knew I had to take.
I genuinely appreciate all the adversity and struggle I’ve faced along the way. It’s shaped me into who I am today and made this current season of success all the more rewarding.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Professionally, I work in clinical research, but recently, the title of content creator and influencer has naturally fallen into my lap. Vlogging and sharing my journey of moving to a new city is truly where my story began.
Currently, I’m best known for my Revealing Raleigh series, along with various lifestyle content that highlights my personality and experiences around the city. Revealing Raleigh focuses on showcasing local businesses and things to do in the area, while my lifestyle content gives viewers a glimpse into who I am—the funny, relatable girl people love. I’ve recently started adding beauty content to my platform as well, staying true to my goal of always being put together and polished.
In Raleigh, I’ve also become known as a “personality,” particularly among younger women and men who are looking to put themselves out there, try new things, and enjoy life. I’m most proud of myself for taking the leap of faith that brought me here. The move itself was challenging—but so was finally starting to post content.
I’ve always loved vlogging and capturing life’s moments, but getting over the fear of being perceived and truly letting people in has taken me further than I ever imagined. I’ve met so many people who’ve shared how inspired they are by my bravery and the story that led me here. I believe that’s what sets me apart—many people consider taking the leap, but few take action and adapt the way I’ve been blessed to.
Through it all, I thank God—truly and completely.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
From a young age, I knew that if I couldn’t do anything else, I could always command a room and make people laugh. I’ve always had a big personality—a bold sense of humor paired with honesty that, admittedly, not everyone can handle. As the middle child between an older brother and a younger sister—who are truly my heart—I naturally stepped into a role of responsibility early on, and it’s shaped the person I am today.
I’ve always been the one to take charge, often refusing to ask for help unless absolutely necessary. My siblings would probably describe me as a mom, sister, best friend, therapist, and shoulder to cry on—all in one. If anyone needs anything, I’m usually the first call. That deep sense of responsibility has followed me throughout my life, and honestly, it’s one of the qualities I admire most about myself.
When it comes to interests, if I wasn’t reading a book, I was on the track. I ran track throughout middle and high school and have stayed pretty active ever since. Fun fact: in second grade, I was featured in an article for reading the most books in my year—somewhere over 100! Those passions have stayed with me to this day. You can still count on finding me in the gym or with a book in hand—sometimes both.
