We’re looking forward to introducing you to Q. Nicole. Check out our conversation below.
Q. Nicole, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity – hands down. Integrity is a source power that goes deeper than both intelligence and energy. If you lack integrity – that inauthenticity is felt through your energy and heard in your speech. For me, integrity is supreme. I also think that a deep and healthy relationship with integrity is the basis for a life of congruency and authenticity. When you are in congruence with your soul, you become magnetic to the life intended for you.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Q. Nicole – I am a Founder & CEO in the cannabis industry.
My company, WH Farms Co., has a mission to spread the medicinal value of hemp worldwide and we do so through empowering brands and businesses to expand their wellness lines with our premium white label goods infused with pharmaceutical-grade hemp extract derived from our ancestral farm. We have helped hundreds of brands launch wellness lines throughout the United States and have heard countless stories of the therapeutic benefits derived from our hemp.
Aside from running this business, I enjoy learning through reading, travel and experiences with cherished friends.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My mom taught me the most about work. She used to say, “do everything as if you are doing it for God”. That was a tall order, but she made me work hard even if people were not watching.
Aside from that, I watched her showcase a wide variety of skills such as confidence, ingenuity, creativity, initiative and an overall jovial nature that created pleasant environments amongst teams. She was also self-disciplined which most natural leaders are so she raised the standards for those who worked alongside her.
So my mom taught me how to use work as a training ground for personal growth and demonstration of potential.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I’ve had to live with a lot of sudden loss – loss of family, loss of friends – losses to death, losses to some form of divorce. In all of those moments, there is a sudden reckoning. You reconcile within yourself the memories of the potential of a relationship against the realities of where and how it has ended. For some it can bring pain and resentment. For others, bitterness. For me, I am forced to find the gratitude within the moment of reckoning “for the good times”. So those wounds have been defining, realizing that forever isn’t really forever. And gratitude has been my way of closing chapters with joy & peace and moving forward in confidence.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Them. They know how I love. They know they really matter to me. And my word. They would also say that my word really matters to me.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Building a large company. I have had my taste of thrills in my career and I enjoy being in a season where I am building for impact, longevity and legacy.
