Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Mason Chavis of Raeford NC

We recently had the chance to connect with Mason Chavis and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mason , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day look like this I get up pray and meditate before starting anything. I also do some cleaning, and make sure I make my bed before I head out for work. I work in the health care industry working with the elderly and medication. After completing work I go to the gym and exercise for at least an hour 4 days out of the week. Towards the end of my day, I take time to work on some creative ideas that I have thought of, and I post them on my social media for content purposes.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a singer I released my very first single in 2020 entitled “Moving On”. After that, I released 4 more songs which I am very proud of. I also create different content on social media such as Fitness, Self Care, and Music. My brand consists of inspiring others to believe in themselves and to take care of themselves by expressing it through whatever gift you may have to use it to inspire others while enjoying wnat you love doing. I am currently working on New Music and also about to start a New business which will be my own “Hat Brand” I am very excited to start this new adventure.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say my faith in God helps me realize the value of my life when sometimes life storms come and try to knock me down and make me seem like everything is unreachable or untainable. God continues to help me stand when I feel weak and alone but I trust the plan he has for my life and I will continue to stand on that foundation. He helps me to see myself clearly and vividly when I can’t see it myself.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has taught me to stand strong even when I feel weak and defeated in dealing with life’s struggles. It also taught me to believe in myself when times are hard and know that I can win any battle that may come my way!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my Parents I have seen them overcome very hard battles but they stood together strong and made it through each one for them without complaining about any of the challenges they have faced. They have shown me to never give up when situations get hard but to be thankful for it all because it builds your character and strength.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That’s when you work hard and believe in yourself anything you dream about and desire for your life can come true!
