Christopher , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I really enjoy exploring various genres of music. My playlist ranges anywhere from classical, to hip hop, to metal. I really enjoy hearing music that spans multiple decades and enjoying new experiences
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Chris Esquilin and I founded Phoenix Cooking along with friends back in 2023.
We are a Gluten-Free meal prep company that focuses on healthy food, locally sourced ingredients, baked goods and more.
We have been focusing on expanding our menu, offering catering, and expanding our reach to the Charlotte community.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I made the decision to become a Christian and dedicate my life to Christ. This has shaped my view of the world and given me a greater purpose
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are enough. You were given certain traits, abilities, and unique gifts and you should use those to do great things
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that having very tight and close relationships really matter to me.
I love to have a circle that I can experience life with. I love to break bread together, laugh cry, and know that I have people to lean on.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I was always willing to serve others and cared deeply for my friends and family
