Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brian Quick, a top-producing real estate agent in Lake Norman & Charlotte, NC. After overcoming a life-changing battle with vasculitis in 2022, I built my business on resilience, innovative marketing, and delivering unmatched value. I specialize in helping clients buy, sell, relocate, and market luxury properties—always with a focus on trust, strategy, and results. Today, I’m growing a nationally recognized brand and inspiring others to thrive in business and life.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has shaped me most is the one I share with my wife and family. When I faced a life-threatening battle with vasculitis in 2022—spending months in the hospital and relearning how to walk, talk, and eat—they became my foundation. Their unwavering support, belief in me, and love gave me the strength to fight for my recovery. That experience didn’t just heal me physically—it redefined my purpose. Today, every goal I pursue in business and life is driven by the desire to honor that bond, make the most of the second chance I’ve been given, and create a legacy my family can be proud of.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a point in 2022, during my battle with vasculitis, when I almost gave up. I went from building my real estate business to suddenly lying in a hospital bed at Duke, unable to walk, talk, or even feed myself. The physical pain was intense, but the emotional weight of losing my independence was even heavier. I remember staring at the ceiling some nights thinking, “Is this it? Is this how it ends for me?”
But every time that thought crept in, I pictured my wife, my kids, and the life we had dreamed about. I couldn’t leave that story unfinished. So I fought—through the exhaustion, the frustration, and the months of rehab—relearning basic skills one step at a time. That moment, when quitting seemed easier, became the turning point that shaped who I am today. It gave me a deeper resilience, a sharper focus, and a refusal to waste a single opportunity.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friends what really matters to me, they’d probably say it’s faith, family, and helping people win—whether that’s in life or in business. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about numbers; it’s about impact. After my health battle in 2022, I realized how precious time is, and I made a commitment to use mine in ways that matter. I care about building relationships, creating opportunities, and making sure the people around me know they’re supported. At the end of the day, what matters most is who I get to share this life with and the difference I get to make along the way.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I’d stop doing anything that doesn’t align with my purpose or bring value to the people I love. I wouldn’t waste time on busywork, negativity, or relationships that drain my energy. I wouldn’t say “yes” just to please others, and I’d stop overthinking decisions that I know in my heart are right.
What I would do is pour everything into my family, my faith, my health, and my mission. I’d focus on building my business into a lasting legacy, creating memories that outlive me, and inspiring as many people as I can with my story. Life’s too short to get stuck in the noise—if I only had 10 years, I’d make every day count.
