Berry Nash Mrs. of Raleigh / D.C on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Berry Nash Mrs. and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Berry, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts with taking my son to school, then checking my emails. From there, I spend the day either editing content or out in the field working with clients.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Berry Nash, a content and brand strategist with over 15 years of photography experience and 10 years in videography. I’m the founder of Bomb Branding Agency, where we help entrepreneurs and businesses express their voice through compelling visuals, strategic storytelling, and creative marketing.

My journey started as a club promoter, a role I held for 15 years while earning my BA in Mass Communications from St. Augustine’s College and my Master’s in Information Science from North Carolina Central University. Later on i spent years as a rapper, podcaster and museum owner which gave me valuable insight into entertainment, audience connection, and brand presence.

I realized there was more to life than punching a clock, so the same year I earned my last degree, I went to school to become a makeup artist and opened my spa in 2017. After three years, I felt called to do more, so I combined my degrees, creative skills, and entrepreneurial experience to focus on photography and makeup while still throwing events.

In 2022, I launched Bomb Branding Agency, bringing everything full circle. Now, I use my background in entertainment, beauty, and media to help clients build powerful brands, create standout content, and grow their presence both online and offline.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I was invisible. Over time, I realized my voice, presence, and story have power and that I’m meant to be seen and heard.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience, empathy, and the ability to keep going when nothing makes sense. Success feels good, but struggle showed me what I’m truly made of.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is creating opportunities not just for myself but for the people around me and making sure we all win together

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my customers would miss my creativity, my ability to bring their vision to life, and the personal connection I build with every project.
