Quila , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Talking in front of a crowed, whew I literally us to freeze up when I get in front of a group of people; I faced my fear though, well lol Im still a lil shy
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Quila Bee, Im jack of most trades, full time licensed hairstylist, that’s my first love, my business name is HerBeeNatural, My second love is BTM,
It’s a showcase made for artist to come be who they wanna be.. I have so much that I do I could keep going; I love to make my clients more beautiful then they already are and I love to help artist reach their full potential to be the best.. along side of those things Im a music manger, I have a wonderful team beside me PTM. So much has changed in my life and it’s only getting better. I want to continue to push myself to be everything I know I can be, continuing to rise above anything that told me I couldn’t.. Im currently working on so much Omgsh it’s so exciting for me and those that are on this ride with me, I wish I had time to tell you guys all that Im doing, we would be here a while, but I’m making a name for myself, I have to
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Whew, my abusive relationship really shaped me into the woman I am today, I took all that hurt and pain and became a woman who wants to help others and no longer accept the bare minimum from anyone not even myself.. this woman today loves herself, I believe in myself, I move on from things that I know are no longer serving me as I elevate in life.. 8 years of pain and I took it all and turned it into my voice, to speak up for myself, to lead, to truly be a woman who made it out and didn’t let it define her. I took that verbal, physical and mental abuse and turned it into a purpose. Im blessed to be here, and through it all i became a woman who knows her worth
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Not letting people go, it’s still a fear Im working on as a adult, but it’s becoming easier for me as I accept that everyone can’t go with me to the next level of my life, some people have to stay where they at and that’s okay, I have always been the person to wanna keep people who have already shown me that cant love me correctly, I’ll still make up excuses and love them even when they only give me breadcrumbs, baby listen I had to fix that and I mean really fix it, now I’ll tell a person “beat it” with the quickness, that one fear has blocked so many blessings for me, and it also showed me I didn’t love myself enough either.. not anymore baby I let em go be with their own kind.. MY SOUL TO DOPE to be holding on to people that wanna go, we do not chase we do not force we simply go where we are appreciated.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
BTM (bless the mic) it’s one of those things I hold so dear to my heart, no matter how long it takes to plan it how many sleepless nights i have, it must be done correctly, the artist that believe in me that support me that push me to keep going, they are the reason I put so much time into it. See it’s cool to be a main steam artist, but it’s some amazing artist all around NC, I love to let them know somebody hears them.. BTM is not just something to do it’s something I believe in that gives artist the opportunity to be exactly who they are want to be.. so even if it takes 2 months to fully get it together Im a take those 2 months to make or the best.. Huge shoutout to the team beside me PTM, I love you guys so much.. My sisters Karma, Moria, and Netta for helping making BTM possible with me, my brother Spin Gawd, even though I shouted out PTM I just wanna think them individually, Devy, Kuttah, leakk, karma savage, Jextra, Sayso, Kidd Jerzy, Push. Lastly big thanks to Smiley, Gage and Meka Devin, even through our lil hiccups BTM Has become better with all you guys with me.. Im so thankful and blessed.

Heck yeah, Im more of the background anyway, I don’t do anything for attention, I do it because I genuinely like to see people win. Im happy watching others be happy, so even when people didn’t know who I was or how much of a role I played in certain situations I still kept smiling and cheering on who they thought was the mastermind behind it.. what I do isn’t about being praised, it’s about doing what my heart wants me to do, it’s about doing what I know Im suppose to be doing, Im blessed and that’s what matters to me, no matter what I want everyone to have a person with them cheering them on and I tend to be that person and I’m completely cool with that..
