Maranda Morgan of Charlotte on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Maranda Morgan and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Maranda, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day is me waking up! Giving grace to God. Checking my phone and emails. As someone that produces current topics articles you have to stay updated and always checking to see what’s going on in the world. After that I get up to start my day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As some may already know I’m a magazine owner, photographer and casting directing. I also just added Licensed Manicurist/Nail Tech to my resume! My baby and main braid is PINK GANG.

PINK GANG is a community of talented people and go getters. What’s so unique about it is, I can do so many different things just under that brand. As to why I curate my other brands from PINK GANG.

“Im just a small town girl with big dreams” that will never quit! Sometimes I wonder what am I doing lol, but when I see the end results or when I see others want to be apart of my journey/brand then I realize what I’m doing. I’m making my dreams come true while uplifting others; one day at a time. And on MY Time!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with God shaped how I see myself. Without him I wouldn’t be able to do any of this. “He wakes me up every morning and started me on my way” to be great, to help others and to just be me. Bold, beautiful and resilient.

Also my mom! She taught me how to be a woman, respectful and just how to have common sense and to be a good person.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yup! Probably every year! But I don’t. I just take a break and come back like I never left.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes and no. You can’t let everyone know the realll you. Just those special people that deserve it.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m at home on my couch and looking at reality shows.
Being at home grounds me. I’m able to be myself and block out negative energies.
