An Inspired Chat with Kevin J. Stone

We recently had the chance to connect with Kevin J. Stone and have shared our conversation below.

Kevin J. , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I have recently gotten back into gaming (PS5) after years of not playing video games and it has been really fun. I have playing a lot of the games that I missed out on since I last gamed, so now I have a backlog of games to catch up on.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kevin J. Stone and I’m an actor. I’ve been acting for over 15 years. I’ve acted in a few crime reenactment shows on TVOne (“Fatal Attraction”, “ATL Homicide” & “Deadly Case Files”) & many films that have been featured on streaming platforms such as Peacock, Amazon Prime Video & Tubi (searching my name on those platforms should bring up the projects I’ve worked on). Currently, I’m working on a film, titled, “Eternal Feast”, which is a thriller film in which I have a dual role. This is the first time I’ve ever played dual roles and it has been fun.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I believed that I would always be shy & never get over my fear of public speaking; man did that change!

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to not let people’s thoughts get into your head. Some people have a fear of jumping out there to go after their dreams, but you’re not like that.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies my industry tells itself is that the top execs know exactly what audiences want to see. A lot of good shows get canceled & it’s it due to ratings.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope that people tell the story of how I got started acting and how I had faith in God that it was going to work; it’s a story that I’ve told numerous times and will continue to tell.
