Check Out Suzy Jackson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzy Jackson.

Hi Suzy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I definitely didn’t follow a straight line to get where I am today. I actually started out as a professional musician — I studied at the Royal Academy of Music and King’s College London, toured internationally, and even launched my own music agency that supplied performers for high-profile events, such as London Fashion Week. Those years on stage taught me how to perform under pressure and really connect with people, skills I had no idea would eventually become the foundation of my career in business.

After that, I made the leap into consulting and spent more than a decade at Accenture, splitting my time between London and New York. I partnered with pharmaceutical and biotech companies all over the world, leading big teams and managing some pretty complex programs. That’s where I fell in love with healthcare — specifically how digital tools and content can transform the way patients and doctors experience care.

Fast forward to today, I live in Charlotte, NC, and I’m the Chief Commercial Officer at RVO Health, the nation’s largest health and wellbeing platform. My role is all about driving growth in digital health and life sciences, but what really excites me is the impact — knowing the work we do helps millions of people live healthier, better lives.

Along the way, I’ve kept hold of my passion for performance and storytelling. I’ve trained over 1,000 professionals on how to use communication as a leadership superpower, and I spend a lot of time mentoring women and advocating for equity in the workplace. I also serve on the boards of organizations like Equality Now and Safe Alliance, because I really believe our voices can drive change — especially for women and girls.

I also have two young daughters, which brings its own kind of adventure. These days, life is a juggling act between boardrooms, pre-school activities and making time for two middle-aged cats — and truthfully, I wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Moving to the US was terrifying and it took me a while to acclimate to the culture – it definitely felt really different compared to the UK.
It was also a really hard decision to decide to leave Accenture after so many years – it really was about betting on myself and taking a chance.
Having 2 young children with such a busy career is also a big challenge – I was in my 3rd trimester when I started with my latest company earlier this year and juggling everything can feel like a game of jenga at times!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I spent over a decade at Accenture as a management consultant, starting in their London office before moving to their NYC office then subsequently Charlotte. I have a background as a musician but my passion is helping patients live better, healthier lives through digital tools, data and content that helps them and their doctors. Due to my background as a musician I love coaching corporate storytelling and self-advocacy and nothing gives me more joy than seeing women step up to lead, authentically as themselves. I think my very unique background gives me a different view on the world, and my frank style helps women peel away what’s holding them back from success and helps me collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues, giving everyone a seat at the table.

How do you define success?
As I’ve got older I’ve become more and more convinced that success is defined by the type of feeling when your head hits the pillow at night – are you proud of the work you’re doing? Are you proud of how you’re showing up for your family? At the end of the day, literally and figuratively, that’s all that matters. All the accolades and praise in the world doesn’t matter if you aren’t, ultimately, doing what makes you and those you love happy and fulfilled.
