We recently had the chance to connect with Nicole Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Energy is the most important to me! Without energy I can’t cope with my inner powers and that’s what brings the intelligence out of me. My integrity will be determined by my energy and I must say all three carry a very strong message to the outside world!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Locally known as NICOLE as many call me, and I am a Licensed Natural hair Care Specialist. My brand is built around Locs because that’s my passion as I service many clients. I am currently located in Eastern North Carolina and I look forward to soon networking outside of my hometown. I have a 1 chair salon and I operate on my own schedule (bookings vary) as I work to service as many clients as possible during each day! Some of my work includes loc styles, repairs, retwists, attachments, shampoos, starter locs, cornrolls, crochet and etc.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust, dishonesty and ignorance breaks bonds between people! I say this because people are going to eventually show their true colors. The only thing that restores a broken bond is remaining loyal and sucker free! Some bonds typically aren’t meant to be fixed because if so it wouldn’t have never been broken.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self it would be that You are HER!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the absolute REAL ME! I’m Very open to the real world. I’m Very authentic and built different from many.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I retired tomorrow my clients would most definitely miss my Fast Hands. The quality of my work speaks volumes alone so I’m sure they will miss the timing as well as how well I care for their hair!
