Viktoria Majestic of Winston-Salem on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Viktoria Majestic. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Viktoria, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Typically, my day starts out with a short visit to my garden; early in the morning, I pick fresh veggies for breakfast. The breakfast is part of my morning ritual, that I prepare and share with my husband.
I also dedicate a couple of hours in the morning, to do some house chores, emails, social media, before I start working in my studio.
After a short lunch break, I keep painting, working on commissions, sketches, and other paintings, until dinner time. On days when I paint weddings, or teach workshops, my schedule is very different, a little bit more hectic.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Viktoria Majestic, I am a professional fine artist, born and raised in Hungary. However, I’ve been living in the US for most of my adult life. I’ve been drawing and painting ever since I can remember. An interesting fact about me, is that I started out my artistic career as a wedding cake decorator, before I became a mural and fine artist, and now, twenty some years later, I offer live wedding paintings.
Live wedding painting is an exciting chapter in my life as an artist. It’s a form of unique entertainment during a wedding reception, but more importantly, it’s a masterpiece, which captures the most precious moments in a couple’s life; that will be cherished for generations. Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents been always my role models, for work ethic. They are hardworking people. What I also learned from them, is that humility, perseverance and quality work is essential to make our lives and others’ better.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been periods in my life that I felt lost, or hopeless. At times, I even questioned whether I should be an artist or not. Typically, most artists tend to question their own abilities, whether worthy, or good enough to continue. I’m no different. There always been an ongoing internal battle, that made me strive, to be more skilled, to create paintings that had a stronger emotional impact.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I only have one version. My core values are honesty, kindness, and empathy. I couldn’t imagine myself as a human being any other way.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they will remember me as someone who cared about others and had a positive impact on their lives.
