Anthony Zuber of Raleigh on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Anthony Zuber and have shared our conversation below.

Anthony, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I would have to say helping my team members grow and build towards their future. They all mean so much to me, and I love seeing them grow.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Anthony Zuber, and I own Point Electric, a residential and commercial electrical service company here in North Carolina. For me, this work has always been about more than just electrical systems—it’s about providing real quality customer care while also building a company where employees can grow, build careers, and pursue their own dreams. I take pride in doing things the right way, being honest and straightforward with customers, and creating an environment where both the people we serve and the people on our team feel supported and valued.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I used to think greatness was only for special people and that you had to get lucky to be one of them. I realized I was dead wrong—greatness, luck, and happiness come to those who work for it relentlessly and truly believe it’s meant for them.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Sure. Honestly, it happens all the time. Chasing big goals and dreams is difficult—it’s messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes downright unpleasant. Everyone feels like quitting at some point. But I remind myself that the ones who succeed are the ones who keep going, no matter how hard it gets.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe manifestation is real, and I practice it regularly.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I am pursuing a career as a professional triathlete while also investing in Point Electric and its people. We’re training our team to eventually take over, grow Point Electric even bigger, and lead the next generation of electricians.
