We’re looking forward to introducing you to Roseybi Sanchez. Check out our conversation below.
Roseybi, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Everyday in the AM I do my usual routine which is meditation. I sit in with my thoughts and emotions to innerstand them. I ground myself with affirmations and tunes (balancing my chakras with words and sounds.)
I have been working on my mind and soul for quite sometime now..
So for the past 2 months straight I have been showing myself discipline and action with the physical portion (my body).
I started abruptly on a random day, didn’t wait on a Monday to start.
I have been physically working out along with having a healthy diet.
Allowing myself time in the AM and not rush to face the world. By incorporating those positive habits has helped tremendously on my energy level and got me more focused on my goals.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Allow to introduce myself I Am shotbyroseyred
I am a photographer who loves to capture moments in time.
A background story:
History was one of my favorite subject in school.
During class, I used to wonder a lot who was the person behind those pictures
Capturing historical moments and important buildings/architectures ect.
I used to tell myself, damnn a camera was always at a perfect time and place to capture monumental shots…
I became more inquisitive and told myself I wanted to be the person behind a camera to capture a snap of history.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
A person that saw me before I saw myself and potential was my stepfather, Cesar Chanlatte.
He came into my life right at one of the most important chapter of my life (my developing stages). He introduced me to a world that I wasn’t aware of especially from the world I come from. Since day one of knowing him, he took it upon himself to make sure I was set for success. One interesting fact about my name, because of him my name is spelled the way that it is now, Roseybi. I used to write it however I wanted such as, Roseibi, Roseivi. Since I had a unique name he thought it would be cool to add a “Y” to it to make my name stand out better.
He didn’t played when it came to my education. He showed me there was no limits and to never stop learning. He poured and invested into my future. He added wisdom, knowledge, courage and STRUCTURE something I didn’t have. Cesar saw that I could be artistic either in drawing or music. He wanted for me to be different from everyone one else and use any form of ART to express myself. It was a phrase he told me once and since then it was stuck. “DON’T be entertained by the entertainment, be the entertainer. “ I get it now. I didn’t make the best decisions then when it came to my future because the lack of mindset but now I am applying everything he taught me to make it better.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I am trying to heal a wound that is not mine which is generational trauma. Especially when I see it at first hand and when is a continuous pattern of behavior. Therefore,
I took it upon myself and made it my responsibility to dig deeper, innerstand and find a common ground to overstand.
To innerstand those who walked before me and what they left behind,
To deal with it and no longer ignore it.
This is real shit… real life feelings and experiences. It’s definitely have been a challenge because I am going back to the root while simultaneously creating a new branch. Thus far, You never stop healing but what I can say is…I am living my heaven already ever since I started this healing journey.
is like a snake shedding its skin.
Is like the Kundalini energy…
I feel it down and up my spine and fulfilling the emptiness.
–
Although is a lot of more work to do but I feel wholeness and complete.
I am the happiest and satisfied I have ever been..
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
A person whom I admire for their character is my MOONLYTE.
I am very grateful our destiny crossed paths.
She lead by example especially when it comes about her values and character. I know is so cliche to say but she is definitely one of a kind and a gem.
She has been a huge impact in my life.
MY MOONLYTE has shown me to not only showed up for myself but to care for others with ACTIONS not just words.
She goes above and beyond for the people she loves and is always available to those who need her without gaining anything back.
Her integrity, honesty and hard work I admire truly hence why she’s one of the reasons I am doing all of this because I have mirrored her when it comes to that plus more.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
One thing I hope I leave behind is kindness, authenticity and that anything is possible if you give yourself a chance or better yet you allow yourself a chance to make it right.
The universe has been so kind throughout my life honestly thats what I want to pour back into the world.
And secondly, If you don’t have a purpose you can create one by focusing on you.
You are the best project you can ever work on.
I want to leave behind that I did it.
I did it for me
I did it for the ones who passed and
I did it for the living ones
