Check Out Dionne Evans’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dionne Evans.

Hi Dionne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been working in the fitness industry since I was 16 years old, teaching aerobics at a gym in Wilson, NC. After graduating from ECU with a BS in exercise & sports science, I moved to Dallas, TX. While in Dallas, I continued to build my career in the fitness industry. After living in Dallas for almost six years, I returned to Greenville. Back in Greenville, I taught fitness classes and began building my clientele as a personal trainer. In December 2023, I opened East Carolina Cycling & Fitness, Greenville’s only Official Spinning®️ Facility.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Opening a business is a challenging but rewarding endeavor. It’s been a dream of mine for years to have my own fitness studio. Making that dream a reality has truly been one of the most time consuming yet worthwhile experiences of my life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Health & Fitness

I’m known for being an experienced and knowledgeable personal trainer who gets results for the client. My studio is known for being a welcoming and safe space for anyone who wants to be a healthier more fit version of themselves. At East Carolina Cycling & Fitness, the members like to say that “we’re a fitness family.”

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Being an honest and dependable fitness professional matters to me. Having professional integrity is important to me. When people come to me to help them achieve their health & fitness goals, I want to earn their trust and respect. Working closely with people who are trying to become healthier and more fit is an awesome responsibility. I want my clients to know that they are in a safe space with me and that starts with trust and respect.
